Pop Up Event

On Tuesday 25th November 2025 between 10.00am & 3.00pm, a pop up event is to be held at The Lodge in Blackhill & Consett Park. The theme will be “Myths, Spooks & Legends”.

Exhibition Date Announced

Our next Open Day and exhibition of old photos will be held on Tuesday 16 September 2025 between 10.00 & 15.30 at The Lodge in Blackhill and Consett Park. The theme will be “Consett a Steel Town”.

Templetown Brickworks Drawings

Added to photo galleries – three dozen original drawings, from 1875-77, showing technical details of the plant and machinery installed at the Consett Iron Company’s new brickworks in Templetown. Thank you to Durham County Councillor Kevin Early for funding the digitisation of these drawings.
